Students wishing to experience a variety of PHED wellness options may apply for the Wellness Passport program. Students will have the opportunity to attend a wide variety of classes, workshops and events that encompass the eight dimensions of wellness. Students enrolled in this course must accumulate 10-hours of participation over the course of one semester by attending any combination of classes, workshops and trainings listed below.
Hours logged are only valid for the current semester. Grades will be issued for students at the end of the semester. 10 hours = 1 credit, 20 hours = 2 credits.

Wellness Workshops and Seminars
- Sports Nutrition Workshop: Fueling for Optimal Performance an overview of the role food plays in athletic performance. This class is designed for both the student who is looking to improve their day to day workouts or competitive collegiate athlete looking for nutrition tips. - Sports Nutrition Workshop: Create your own energy snacks is a hands on class looking at how fueling with real food instead of ready-made sports products is economical and healthy.

- We See You Collaborative Studio is a series that was designed to present students with a therapeutic space to exercise their creativity using language and images. It was created by 2016-2017 Creative Writing Fellows Nana Adjei-Brenyah, Erin Mullikin, and Cate McLaughlin. The space was established as a response to student need for safe creativity. During the Spring of 2017, students were offered a chance to create (poetry, story, visual collages, paintings, and various other forms) without being graded or judged in a punitive sense while still being guided by artists. We See You has an emphasis on being there for those who feel they aren’t heard and/or are underrepresented on campus and in the world. We also aim to empower students by teaching them therapeutic writing/creative techniques that they might do on their own. This semester previous participants/staff members Natasha Torres '15 and Kasper Alberico '18 will be guiding the space and hope to help students grow as creators as they learn about their own wellness and ways to manage their well-being.

- Real, Raw, Right (IGD) Workshops seek to encourage individuals to explore the complexities of social identities (religion, race/ethnicity, gender, class, etc) to improve communication and relationships between individuals from different social backgrounds. Through experiential learning opportunities, Colgate Conversations fosters an understanding of how individual perspectives are rooted in systems of power and privilege and provides an opportunity for community members to work together across difference toward purposeful social change. Participants are encouraged to attend all classes offered this semester.

ALANA Cultural Center
- Mindfulness Meditation Learn and practice the basics of meditation including mindfulness, calm breathing, body scans, progressive muscle relaxation, and guided imagery. Mindful Meditations will help to lower your overall stress and increase awareness. Prepare to leave feeling renewed! Held weekly on Tuesdays from 5:15-6:15 in the Counseling Center (Conant House).

- Buddhist Meditations at the Chapel House
Weekly Fridays 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. Everyone is invited, including students, faculty, staff and community members. Anyone of any religious or non-religious affiliation, as well as any level of expertise, is welcome to join! No experience required.
These sessions will alternate between Zen meditation and Tibetan meditation, and they will be led Catherine Landis and Andy Hassinger, respectively. The very first session, Friday, October 13th will be led Zen meditation by Catherine.
