DAPAs are Drug & Alcohol Peer Advisors, a group of students who work with the Shaw Wellness Institute to support a fun and safe social environment at Colgate. 
DAPA Event

Drug & Alcohol Peer Advisors (DAPAs) work closely with Shaw Wellness Institute to ensure fun, safe, and inclusive social environments at Colgate. DAPA grants will fund on campus events happening on nights Wednesday to Saturday. DAPAs is student-led and event funding requests are approved by students.

What will DAPA fund? 

  • Substantial food for a party (usually $50)
  • Water bottles
  • Plates
  • Cups
  • Napkins

How do I apply for a DAPA Grant?

  1. Applications for DAPA grants are due by 12 A.M. Monday the week of an event.
  2. You will receive approval by Wednesday afternoon.
  3. Apply on Colgate's Social Hosting Website or fill out this Google Form

Post-Event Survey

A post-event survey must be completed by all grant recipients. Please complete this form here.

What will DAPA not fund?

  • Alcohol
  • Drinks other than water
  • Decorations
  • Very small gatherings
  • Off-campus events
