Amanda Stewart graduated from the State University of New York College at Buffalo with a B.A. in Public Communication in 2009 and Canisius College (Buffalo) with an M.S. in Higher Education and Student Affairs Administration in 2011. Her passion for student affairs began as an undergraduate student where she was a resident assistant in Residential Life. In graduate school, her interests expanded to academic support and mentoring, federal TRiO Programs, Campus Ministry, and financial aid. She served as a financial aid counselor for five years at both the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey and Utica College. Amanda has worked at Colgate since 2016 in the programs of Peace and Conflict Studies, Africana and Latin American Studies, and Native American Studies. Joining her on this new journey in Residential Life is her spouse Ryan, their two children, Eli and Remi, their dog (Gryffin) and cat (Betty). In her spare time she enjoys knitting and crafting, reading, and honing her roller derby skills.
Victoria Ruibal Area Director

Housing Areas: Ciccone Commons (Curtis Hall, Drake Hall, and 102 Broad Street)
As an Area Director, Victoria serves on a leadership team with other staff members that oversee programming in Ciccone Commons. Victoria specifically oversees the community leaders within Curtis Hall, Drake Hall, and 102 Broad and the residents within the three buildings. Originally from Bayonne, NJ, Victoria joined the Colgate University community in July 2018 after she completed her Masters Degree in Higher Education from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania. During her master’s program she served in residential life for three years at Lafayette college while holding internships at different times in Gender & Sexuality Programming, Orientation, and Greek Life. Additionally, she worked in Academic Support at Kutztown University assisting students who were in academic jeopardy. Victoria has also experience in Residential Life at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and 3 years of experience as an undergraduate student Resident Advisor and Senior Resident Advisor at her alma mater of Moravian College where she completed her B.A. in German Studies & Psychology in 2015. Her passion for working with college students stemmed from her experience as a first-generation college student.
Victoria is a live-in staff member and resides in Drake Hall with her husband Matt, who is a mariner in New Jersey, and her cat named Koda and her dog named Ahsoka (named after a Star Wars character). Victoria can be seen at midnight premiers for Marvel films, and she loves Harry Potter, Star Wars, Game of Thrones, and many other "nerd" things. Victoria enjoys animals, knitting, and trying new things.
