Marsha began her Colgate career in higher education in the fall of 2014 after a previous career in product design for an international wholesale seasonal company. She loves working with student organizations in planning campus activities. Her primary student group advisees fall under the categories of: the arts, leisure/gaming, health and wellness, and alternative late night events, with past experiences advising religious groups and career development. She graduated from SUNY Empire State College with a Bachelor’s degree in Art Illustration and World History. When she is not on campus, Marsha is a real life time traveler, or as close to one as she can be without a DeLorean or a Tardis. She reenacts the Renaissance and Regency periods in costumes she created. She also holds a first degree black belt in Taekwondo.

Having joined Colgate’s Center for Leadership and Student Involvement in 2016, Brett is responsible for advising student organizations on campus, such as the Class Leadership Council, and facilitating and organizing late-night programming efforts within the Colgate community. Originally from Long Island, New York, Brett graduated from Stony Brook University in 2014 with his BA in both Psychology and Sociology. As a student, Brett was highly involved with Stony Brook’s Alternative Breaks Program and interned with the Center for Prevention and Outreach as an AIDS Peer Educator. Prior to arriving at Colgate, Brett graduated from Illinois State University with an MS in College Student Personnel Administration and served as a Graduate Assistant to ISU’s Alternative Breaks program. Brett currently lives in Hamilton and, in his spare time, enjoys traveling, reading, and staying active.

Edie joined the Colgate staff in 2015, after serving in higher education for 18 years. She currently advises campus clubs and organizations, including the Colgate Speaking Union, as well as the academic, language, political, and media clubs.

She has previously taught public speaking, writing, and communication courses at Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA, Suffolk Community College in Selden, NY, Rockhurst College in Kansas City, MO, and Wichita State University in Wichita, KS. She holds a B.A. in Communication with an emphasis in Journalism from Olivet Nazarene University, and a M.A. in Communication with an emphasis in Rhetorical Criticism from Wichita State University.

Since joining the CLSI team in the Fall of 2015, Kayla has advised a wide variety of student organizations, including wellness, LGBTQ, environmental, and dance groups. With her interest in special events coordination, she has served on planning committees for Homecoming, Senior Class Ball, Senior Class Brunch, and the Student Leadership Recognition Banquet. Currently, she is also managing the social hosting registration process for all on-campus events with alcohol. Originally from a small town in Massachusetts, Kayla graduated from Colgate in the Spring of 2015 with a Bachelor's degree in geography. Outside of the office, she enjoys cooking, traveling, and kayaking on Lake Morraine. She also loves to be involved in the local community and serves on the Alumnae House Corporation for her sorority as well as the Winter At The Palace planning committee.

Denise started at Colgate in July of 1984 working in several different departments within Case Geyer. She moved to the Office Manager's position in The Center for Leadership and Student Involvement in September of 1999. In her role she helps to support the department's many different programs.
